Using Firefox, when visiting eBay and looking at people's auctions, we cannot get anything to happen when clicking on the thumbnail photos that are supposed to link to enlargements.
Using IE6, this is not a problem. That would seem to imply that it is not any of our security software (eg. Zone Alarm) preventing this from happening (er, wouldn't it?)
Is this normal for Firefox or is it something that can be fixed? :(

Tools > Options > Web Features

Click the "Allowed Sites" button for the pop-up blocker and add "ebay.com. See if the windows will work then.

But I can tell you by experience that eBay doesn't always do everything in a cross-browser friendly way. <_<

Gald to hear it. I have the same kind of issue occasionally and I always forget about Firefox's popup blocker. But I rarely have an ad popup anymore which is very nice. :)

I have Firefox and I absolutely do not like it. I am unable to customize the top toolbars in the fashion that I want. I'm sticking to IE and looking forward to version 7.

Really?!! That's odd. One of the things I like about FF is the way I have my toolbars customized. I also really like some of the extensions like the "Web Developer" extension.

The main reason I hate IE is that it is not standards compliant. I spent 30 minutes making a webpage work with all other browsers and another 6 trying to find hacks to make the page display correctly in IE. <_<
