I know that you have make a "Latest Topic" block for SMF and it looks great. So, i also need a "Last Post Block Center" for SMF. Do you know where i can downloaded? I have nothing found. I hope you can help.

Let me look to see if I can find one or maybe I can code one.

What version of SMF are you using?

Hi Visible

i use SMF 1.1 RC2
It works fine with MKPortal 1.1 RC1, when also my favorit is IPB.
It would be great when you can code one. I have look also on the german support, but there i can't find and also there nobody want to help.
You are really the one and only!
Thanks and cheers

P.S.:
Your hack for the Subcategories Reviews works fantastic, thanks one more time for this great Job.

Doesn't the default MKPortal "last posts" block show last SMF posts? What do you want to be different?

I am using IPB1.3 and MKPortal on my Art site here...
http://community.visiblesoul.com/

I use SMF and MKPortal on my other site here...
http://www.visiblesoul.org/

I am playing with punBB on this web design site. It is very nice and light. But I think I will play with MyBB also.

It is not very difficult for me to convert boards from one to another so I experiment alot. :)

Hi there, I'm one who want to get new "Last Post Block" too, Cause the default "Last Post Block" from MKPortal in not suitable for me, For example, Sometimes peoples reply same topics at the same time. I can just see "Re: Re: Re: & Re:". That's not nice. It'll be the best if you create the Block like your IPB job.(http://www.mkportal....ead.php?p=46616)

Thanks, Sorry about my bad English, I'm Asian, Thailand.

Welcome eakkanake. Do you want the block to display latest posts or latest topics?

Thanks for your welcome, All we (MKP+SMF Users) need is the "Latest Topic Post" Block. When a topic is posted, It'll be jump to the top of the Block, And still be the original Title of the Topic, Not from last poster (There'll be "Re:" in front of the topic and that's not nice.), And it would be great if there's a Table with ...
"Topic Title" / "Last Post (BY WHOM and DATE)" / "Topic Stat (VIEW and REPLY Stats)"

Thanks again, And sorry again if my English made you sick hehe...

OK, I have uploaded a Last Topics block for SMF here...

http://www.visiblesoul.net/resources/downl...ils.php?file=69

It should work with MKPortal 1.0 and 1.1Rc1. It should work with SMF 1.x. I tested it with MKPortal 1.0 x SMF 1.0.2 since that is the version I have installed on localhost (I know I need to upgrade). Please let me know if it works for you.

The block is different from the IPB version. It is not easy to get last post and last poster information from the SMF database. I just don't have the patience to figure it out right now and I have a lot of other work to do. But it is a nice block anyway. I hope you all like it.

Maybe in the future when I have more time and patience I will try again to add the last poster etc.

Thanks, Mr.Visiblesoul, But It's like another "Last Topics" Block, Sort by Topic Start Time, Not by Last Topic Post Time as I (and others) need. Anyway, It's nice Block.

You said you wanted a last topic block in your previous post. The default MKPortal block displays last posts.

I don't understand what you are asking. Do you mean you want a last posts block that does not show duplicate topics but topics will be bumped in the block when there is a new post?

Exactly (I guess)
Last Post Block which not duplicate topics ( and use original Topic Name, not Re: ) and Topics will be jump to the top Block when someone reply.

It's about my bad English, Sorry.

You can replace the query in my block with this one...
		$sql = "
	SELECT
	m.posterTime, m.subject, m.ID_TOPIC, m.ID_MEMBER, m.ID_MSG,
	IFNULL(mem.realName, m.posterName) AS posterName,
	t.ID_BOARD, t.ID_LAST_MSG, t.numReplies, t.numViews,
	b.name AS bName,
	m.body, m.smileysEnabled
	FROM {$db_prefix}messages AS m, {$db_prefix}topics AS t, {$db_prefix}boards AS b
	LEFT JOIN {$db_prefix}members AS mem ON (mem.ID_MEMBER = m.ID_MEMBER)
	WHERE t.ID_TOPIC = m.ID_TOPIC
	AND m.ID_MSG >= " . max(0, $modSettings['maxMsgID'] - 20 * $limit) . "
	AND b.ID_BOARD = t.ID_BOARD" . (!empty($modSettings['recycle_enable']) && $modSettings['recycle_board'] > 0 ? "
	AND b.ID_BOARD != $modSettings[recycle_board]" : '') . "
	AND $user_info[query_see_board]
	GROUP BY m.ID_TOPIC
	ORDER BY t.ID_LAST_MSG DESC
	LIMIT $limit";
This is not a perfect solution but it will order the topics by last post date. I know that MKPortal needs a good SMF last posts block. I do not understand SMF very well though so it is hard for me. If I can figure it out in the future I will make a better block.

Finally, I got it !!! You are my Mr. Nice Guy. Thanks again.
There are some problem in some Topics, That's really strange.
In some Topics, They report wrong "Topic Starter". And some Topics still have "Re:" in front of them but at Topic Starter (Look in the Forum) have not.

But who cares ... Getting this Block is the best present for my website although there are few problems. Thanks again.

OK, I created a real Last Posts block for SMF...

http://www.visiblesoul.net/resources/downl...ils.php?file=70

I hope it works for you. If you notice any bugs let me know. It was hard for me but I am very proud of the results. ;) I do not know if it is compatible with MySQL5 because the query is complicated. But hopefully it will work for everyone.
