Hi Visible,
you know, i like to tested somethings, or better to say, all about IPB and mkportal ;-)
And now, i have installed an IPB 2.0.4 an mkportal M1.0. After i have try to make the Forum integration inside of mkportal. I changed the code in the index.php and in the class_display.php from IPB 2.0.4, also i put the content in the admin panel, to have the forum inside of mkportal.
After all that i get this error message

Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or '}' in /srv/www/htdocs/lcd/html/forum1/sources/classes/class_display.php on line 56

The path for the forum ist "forum1", that's right.

The same error i get with the mkportal 1.1 and the Forum IPB 2.1.1

Do you know why? I hope you can help me.

Thanks and cheers

b

What text editor are you using? Using the wrong text editor for editing php files is usually the source of the problem.

See this page for a little more detail...

I sent you an email. If you send me your class_display.php I will look at it to see if I can spot any problems.

After looking at the file I can see that you did not do the edits correctly. There are 2 places where you needed to add code below but you put it above. The file I sent you should work now. So it is not an editor issue after all, it is a syntax issue.

Everybody makes silly mistakes some time. :)

weaverslave looks very good. I may need to try it myself.
