Hi VisibleSoul!
I have uploaded your fantastic module for coppermine gallery integration to my client's portal. Thing is though, although I got the coppermine gallery BB Bridging done ok, I can't install your module. ;)
Installation:
http://www.letrasescondidas.net/mkportal/m...ine/install.php
It tells me that all the directories are not writable which is not true as I have checked them all. I installed coppermine via Fantastico and it automatically chmoded all those directories to 777 for me.
Gallery here:
http://www.letrasesc...das.net/gallery
Forum:
http://www.letrasescondidas.net/forum
I would appreciate any help.
Thank you!

Hello Alk. I do not use the MK_Coppermine module on any of my sites so I do not know very much about it. But I will try to update it and release a new version this week. Maybe I will be able to help you better then.

Actually I am confused by your post. What exactly are you trying to do?

The standalone version of Coppermine is not the same as the MKPortal module.

The standalone version uses a bridge to integrate with the forum.

The MKPortal module does not use a bridge but is integrated in another way. You cannot install the Coppermine module via Fantastico.

Are you installing 2 separate Coppermine installs?

Well, what I've done:
Installed Coppermine via Fantastico. There shouldn't be a problem with that surely? I would have thought that all it does is untar the files, setup and install the db and configure the config file and then chmod it?
I then bridged the gallery and the forum and that works perfectly.
I then wanted to integrate it into the portal, and I presumed that you just run the install and upload the files like every other module. Unfortunately, there are no install instructions to guide you as to whether that is right or wrong. Your forum post simply said to read the coppermine manual which is what I did, and bridged it like it said.
Thanks.

I think maybe you are also confused. The MKPortal module files are not the same as the Coppermine standalone files. And the MKPortal module's database installer is different that the Standalone. You need to choose one or the other. Do not try to start by installing the Coppermine standalone. The only reason why you should ever try to do that is if you needed to convert an existing Coppermine installation with a large database of file.

If you want to use the MKPortal module you should start over and follow the instructions in the MK_Coppermine module /mkportal/modules/coppermine/docs/readme.htm

oooooooohhhhhhhh......I see. My apologies for taking up your time for such a simple mistake. I was not aware of this. I will attempt this in the morning and let you know. No wonder it could not write to the files! I didn't know it was using a different set! I understand now! I should have looked better at the archive contents!
Thank you!

Yes there are many edits to the coppermine files that allow them to integrate with MKPortal. And Meo has hardcoded a mkpcpg_ database prefix into the files.
