Hello,
I havent been on the original MKPortal website in months, and I came to realize that the development is dead.
I went there becuase I scrolled through other websites, and they still have MKPortal with Media Wiki, and I read the topics in MKPortal, but I lost my password, and I can't re-register.
I am planning on using MKPortal for another year as none of the portals out today really makes me happy. And I have installed many of your modules and hacks for my website.

My users loved your MKPDocs, your MKPProfiler, and the MKPStaff page the most from my staff.

If you can help me, that would be awesome.

Thanks,
DAMAN

Hello DAMAN-

I think that the download section of mkportal.it is closed.

Concerning the MediaWiki module for MKPortal, I can tell you from experience that the last available version is not secure. In fact, the mkportal.it server was hacked more than once through vulnerabilities in that module. I do not recommend using the MediaWiki module for MKportal. I think it would be better to run MediaWiki separately so that it can be easily upgraded when new releases come out. In fact that is what we were doing on mkportal.it for the last year or so that the Wiki was online.

On a related note, I installed MediaWiki here on my site about a year ago with all of the MKPortal Wiki data but I never made it public. If people express interest in having this resource available I could make it visible. But it is probably better if people begin to migrate away from MKportal to other platforms that have active development.

Hello VS,
Thanks for your reply...
I was planning on using MKPortal for another year as I love the way it is stand alone...
I am currently using Media Wiki without the integration, but, if you may supply me with the code to add in the Media Wiki module to make it get wrapped inside MKPortal C1.2.1, that would be great.

Thanks,
DAMAN

It is not a simple integration since it integrates users as well as skin. I do not know if I have the latest version nor do I know if it is compatible with the "C" version. Also the module is completely unsupported and is not secure. If you are confident enough in your php skills to update it for security I will try to find the file in my archives. If I forget please post here to remind me.

Thank you VS,
If you need MKPortal C1.2.1, I may supply it to you via PM.

But what I meant was something like:
A code to bring the MKPortal features inside Media Wiki

Something like the code for the forums...

I was also searching this for the latest Coppermine, but I still have no results,
Thanks for your time, its greatly appreciated :).

Well, thanks for the module, but what I meant was like this:
No User Integration
Media Wiki Latest Version
And the code to put into the theme inside Media Wiki to put the MKPortal Logo, Navigation, and right panel in the wiki.

Well, if you study the modifications in the module package I gave you then you will have an example of how this can be done. You will just have to adapt it to the latest Mediawiki version. Unfortunately I will not have time to work on this anytime in the near future so giving you the example to follow is the best I can do for now.
