I've got to check that out!

I've been digging around CSS sites the last few days and finding all sorts of little goodies. One I want to try on my blog is a random photo thingy, but I'll need to make a bunch of thumbnails to go with it so that they're all the same size. Toys to play with sure are fun!

Here's a couple of what I found:

Thanks Owl. I needed those links. I've been working to clean up my css. I especially need to find a way to make my image maps work with Mozilla browsers and the first link has a relevant article. :brick:

I stumbled into the http://opensourcecms.com/index.php site while researching 2 scripts.

http://www.oscommerce.com/ which is supposed to be one of the best shopping carts available. And it's free. (I'm not happy with Miva. I think the fact that search engines won't index my store makes it especially bogus. Not to mention it is a nightmare to customize.)

http://www.postnuke.com/ which is supposed to be the most used free content management software. It looks very versatile.

I may download both and play with them for a while.

Speaking of striking gold...

I just added Google AdSense to my recipe site on the 20th. It's already making money. :brick:

I checked out AdSense. It looks interesting. I had never heard of it before. I'll have to go check out how it looks on your site.

I just stumbled into Spoono! You should go and take a look around. I haven't seen it all yet, but it sure looks interesting.

Very interesting. Added to my favorites. I can always use more Photoshop styles and such.

While I've got you here Owlie, how smooth was the upgrade that you did on your IPB forum? There's a new version that I'd like to upgrade to but I'm a bit paranoid about the process.

I have the same version as this one (v1.2), but I have done an upgrade or two since I first got it. Just follow the directions and it should go very smooth and easy. Doesn't take all that long to do either, but I've always given fair warning before doing it so few will be surprised. I warn that it will take more time than it has ever actually taken. Be sure to close the forum before starting the upgrade for safety's sake. The last time I upgraded I was forced to find a new skin as the older ones no longer worked. I haven't looked lately to see that there's a new version, guess I should do that.

At Spoono there's a lot more than Photoshop stuff. Take a peek under 'programming' on your next visit. That's what caught my eye. :brick:

Actually the google ads aren't offensive at all. They're soooooooo much better than blinking, flashing, rotating, obnoxious "Your computer may have a virus" type banners. I may have to look into that more.

I've been playing with the osCommerce software. I'm debating whether or not to incorporate it into my homepage or keep it as a separate store section like I have now. It's really pretty nice software. How do all these people give away this stuff for free? Gotta love 'em though.

There's still alot of default stuff but I'm working on it.
